Between the end of World War I and the beginning of World War II, many of American's favorite decorations for Halloween were actually made in Germany. Funnily enough, Germans didn't really celebrate Halloween, but they were happy to produce all kinds of decorations for the US market. As production at the time was still mainly a small cottage industry, many of the vintage German Halloween decorations you'll come across were handmade individually -- so they are a lot different from the commercially manufactured material you'll see today.
