If you are looking to add a vintage flair to your Christmas celebration, one excellent way to do it is to weave some vintage Christmas lights into your decor. When we think of Christmas lighting, most of us are probably just thinking about the Christmas tree itself and decorating that with multi-colored light strings or strands of tiny white lights that twinkle and reflect the colors of the ornaments we've added to the tree, but that isn't the only option when it comes to vintage Christmas lights.

So while you will easily find vintage lighting to illuminate your tree, such as the popular vintage Bubble lights, there's lots of ways to add some well lit flair to your home. For example, instead of decorating an evergreen tree with lights, you could get an aluminum Christmas tree instead and then instead of draping it with lights, get yourself a Christmas color wheel and place it somewhere near the tree so it can bathe it in light.

Many color wheels have multiple panels, each featuring a different color, so one moment your tree will appear green and during the next it will appear red. In fact, you can even get a vintage color wheel to go with your vintage Christmas tree. They were both quite popular during the mid-century modern era.

Here's another vintage lighting idea for your home. How about lighted figurine sets? Figurines that light up are popular today and while today's lighted figures are certainly more advanced, with their led lights that count down to Christmas day, etc., the charming lighted figurines from the 1930s through 1950s will be so much more unique and adorable for decorating your home. So look for lighted Santas, Reindeers and even Nativity sets.

Of course, even though there are lots of other options for vintage Christmas lights, most of us will not want to neglect the Christmas tree! You will find lots of light sets from the mid 1940s, 50s and 60s on Ebay. Some of my favorites are the Bubble lights from the fifties and sixties. Noma was one popular brand, but you will find many others as well.
